(At who knows what time in the morning.) I've been meaning to post about our nightly adventures with Andrew, but haven't, thinking they would just pass. But alas, they haven't. So here goes.

In a few posts back I mentioned that on Christmas Eve Andrew had quietly snuck into Rachel's room and climbed in bed with her. Ryan and I thought, "Ahh...How sweet!" Well this has become a nightly ritual since then. And if we put him back in his crib, we will surely find him back in Rachel's bed in the morning.

We just kind of let it go until Sunday night since Rach was going back to school the next day. Sometime after Ryan and I went to bed and were asleep, he snuck into her room and climbed in bed with her. I got up around four or so to check on him because he had started to run a little fever Sunday evening. I found him in Rachel's bed so I put him back in his bed. Twently minutes later I heard him climb out of his bed. I sat up in bed and watched in the hallway. Here he comes with his blanket over his head and his flashlight on going back to Rachel's room. So, I had him crawl in bed with us just so Rach could get some good sleep. And he went back to sleep.

Fast forward to last night....I heard him get up around 2:30. Then Rachel cried out for me. So Ryan got up and put Andrew back in his bed and I took care of Rach. I got back in bed, but I couldn't sleep. I was so afraid that he would get up and go out to the garage. So I finally went out on the couch. At least I would be able to hear him if he did come out that way. Around 3:00 he called for me. I went to check on him and he told me that he had a bad dream. So he and I went back out to the couch. He was feeling a bit warm as well. Around 4:00 I put him back in his crib. I went back to my bed and the next thing I know it's 5:00 and the alarm is going off. Ryan asked me if I was going to the Y and I told him "NO. I have been up since 2:30 basically." Then the next thing I know, Ryan is waking me up & telling me to look in the kitchen. It was 6:45. I go out there to find what you see above....waffles (that were in the fridge) on a plate with syrup, an open bottle of syrup, fork & knife, cup, and bottle of juice and Andrew's blanket. So sometime between me putting him back in bed at 4:00 am and 6:30 am Andrew decided to get up and have some breakfast. Oh...he even tried to heat them up in the microwave because the numbers were all messed up on it. What to do, what to do.

I love, love, love the little guy to pieces, but he scares me sometimes. So tonight Ryan is sleeping on the couch just to be safe. He fell asleep around 7:00 tonight and he is in his crib, so we shall see. I really think it's time to bite the bullet and get him a bed. I think he's just tired of the crib which ironically is making him tired (and his parents as well :-) )

I totally had planned to post this morning, but it has been a lonnnnggggg day that I will have to post about tomorrow. Sleep tight!
